Welcome to Thankful Thursday! The challenge this week is to Honor someone special with a display. May 30th is Memorial Day, so please take a moment to say a prayer to all the men and women that have and do serve our country.
In honor of Memorial Day, I created a layout of my husband's grandfather, Forrest Bud Smith.
He loved the service and was proud to be part of the 12th Armored Division Association (Hellcats). He attained the rank of Master Sergeant. He received several honors and award in his life for his serve to our country. Forrest's division was the first to shoot fire at the Nazi's in World War II.
Brett's grandfather sadly past on January 1, 2003, it was a bitter sweet day because it is also our son's birthday. I wanted to take a moment and create a layout honoring him and his legacy.
We have an awesome prize this month, it's currently the prize is a Post-it prize pack)!! Don't forget to head over to Crazy About Cricut (http://www.crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com/), and enter your family project!

Thank you Tanya!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job you did honoring a member of our greatest generation! My dad and my father-in-law were both in WWII. Pages made in their memory are very special.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla. I feel really lucky that his family are "savers" so I had plenty of resources!
ReplyDeleteWow great job!!
