Isn't the moose so stinkin cute!

This is layout has so many details.....
I am sure to miss telling you something!

First all the trees and animals are layered with demenisionals so these cuties are  be popping off the pages.

Our little skunk has been flocked in white, so he is fuzzy to the touch!  Better than smelly!

The tile of this layout is "The Great Outdoors"

Perfect for any pictures you might have of:
  • walking in the woods
  • camping
  • scouting
  • how about a nature preserve

I saw a bear, oh way out there....I saw a bear!

This cutie will not bite, I am not sure he can get out the log even he tried!   The log can be left as is or can be used as a journal area.

This layout can be purchase thru my Etsy shop!  you can search for us by using: Crabby Cakes Studios or here is the link to our Etsy shop:

A little Thanks

Bless my mother!  She really taught me the importance to appreciate every gift received no matter hoe big or small!  I think that is why I appreciate the little things so much more that the grandious stuff.
If there is one thing I can say is that saying "Thank You" can really go a long way..it is so simpe yet makes a big impact.  I think it is part of our on the go society that we forget simple gestures this is.

Last weekend I created "thank you" cards for Crabby Cakes Studio (my custom scrapbook company with my business partner Christine Marting)  (feel free to visit my other blog at crabbycakescrafts@blogspot.com

....so I decided that I wanted to create a few for Rock Girl Designs, so I can send along with my blog candy!  What perfect timing since April I am focusing on working on Cricut's Rock Princess cartridge.

Here is my 3x3 thank you cards!  I used the image on page 68 set at 2.5 inches.  I cut the background paper (hot pink and black) in 2.5 X 2.5 squares.
I heard that the Rock Princess cartridge is very tricky to use since there are so many layers.  But this was pretty easy,  I just focused on the color of layers I was using.  Once they were all cut, assembling was a breeze.

Go for it!  I dare you!  Pull out your Rock Princess cartridge and create something!

Nifty Fifties Blog Candy Winner Announced....is it you?

Thanks for everyone that has visited my blog and left wonderful comments on my Nifty Fifties Card in the month of March!  As promised,  if you left a little love, I would pick a random winner from the comments and send the cards I made to you as a gift for visiting and taking time out your busy lives to leave me feedback.  I am so grateful for all the love and appreciate everyone's thoughtful comments, so THANK YOU ALL!

So here is the thing Random.org is not working so well for me.  I can not seem to lock the number generator in place on my blog.
(Rock Girl **sighs heavily after 30 minutes of being unsuccessful**)

so I did the next best thing, cause I don't want to be a known as a cheater or not playing fair to everyone...I created a random generator and took a picture of the random number it picked!
(Rock Girl** asks that if anyone can help me on this problem, it would be greatly apprecaited!**)

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....................

 NUMBER 34!!!!!

NIFTY FIFTIES CRICUT CARTRIDGE: You Bowl Me Over Card

Here is my last card in my March series using the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.

I used the bowling pin and ball images located on page 33 set at 5 inches.

I really wanted to make a more masculine card for this last one.  I think as a female crafter, I tend to make gifts and cards for my female friends and tend to forget about the men in my life!  Not good, especially since everyone I know really supports my business and my creative talents.

The red stripes on the bowling pin really dedicated the color scheme of this card, besides I think that you can not get any more masculine with black and red!

Again with my polka dotted background paper for this card!

I used some of my left over scraps for the background of this card.  Okay, so this card makes a loud statement with very little effort on this Rock Girl's part!  This card took 5 minutes to make and 3 1/2 of those minutes was because I had to wait for my Cricut to cut the images.  VERY easy to make!

No stamps were used, this time I used my computer to type up "You Bowl Me Over" tag on white cardstock.

I added a little light brown chalk around the bowling pin to add a little age to it!  I highlighted the bowling ball with white chalk.

This card is a X!

Remember to leave a comment and become a follower of my blog and you will be entered in this month's blog candy!  The blog candy will be the set of cards I create using the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge in the month of March.

Winner will be chosen the first week of April.  Good Luck!
