Christmas In July Day 2

Thank you for joining me to help me celebrate
Christmas in July!
Our Hostee for this blog, Lisa Peters loves all things about Christmas and starts planning Christmas as soon as the Christmas tree comes down.  I am so happy to participate in this blog hop so I can share some of my hand made gift ideas with you too!

I do have a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, to be eligible for the "Grand Prize" you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment for each day of the blog hop and also become a follower at "Scrapping With Lisa" and my facebook page:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrapping-with-Lisa/130882060 268842.  Please let me know if you don't do facebook and I won't count that against you for the grand prize.  Now for the grand prize, I bet you are wondering what it could be.   It will be a big grab bag full of scrapbooking supplies related to Christmas.
Have fun and enjoy all the wonderful projects created by some wonderful talented friends.

If you have started on this blog you’re on the right track. If not, and just found this hop, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us.

This hop runs from July 15-17th, so you have plenty of time to make it all the way through the hop. Check out each blog and see what each blog has to offer for BLOG CANDY!   Please come back tomorrow to see what new projects we have created.  After all it's Christmas in July and who doesn't like Christmas?  Or some cute gift and card ideas?

Now for my project:

Stocking Stuffers!   Here is a Chrstmas Themed Tic Tac Toe game I made.  I used a square coaster and glued my scrapbook paper to the front, I used a corner trimmer to create the curved edges.

Next, I used thin red and white gingham ribbon to create the tic tac toe playing squares.
Used 2 different Christmas themed stamps for the peices.  I created 5 red and 5 green.  I used a 1 inch circle and a 1.25 circle for the design.

The matching bag topper was simply a piece of red cardstock folded over a baggie.  (hint: make sure to staple the bag so the flats of the staples are on the outside and the hook part is inside.  I used a little double stick tape for the front.

The Santa hats are triangles and oval punches.  You could also use 3 D pufft paint, fluff or glue with glitter to create a different look.

So if you have a little ones in your life...this might be a cute idea to make for them or for a kid's party.....    Now scroll all the way down for some Rock Girl Blog Candy!

  12. really cute. You could use microdot velcro to make the pieces stick so you could play it in the car too! I'm a follower since earlier in the blog hop! I've been trying to think of some of the other gift items I've made and can't think of any papercraft ones right now. I did a lovely cross stitch cat and piano piece for my mother in law several years ago.
