Thank you for joining us for the All American Blog hop!  We are sharing projects that celebrate anything American!  So anything like BBQ's, family picnics, 4th of July, or more.

Here's the projects I made to share with you today.

One of my favorite things to do when my son was small was to go to the local community Fourth of July parade.  I loved to see all the cute little kids on their bikes.  Being the crafter I am, I loved to see how they all decorate their bikes in red, white and blue!  When I saw this stamp, it just brought those memories back!

For my second project, I created this patriotic fire cracker wind sock.  It is all about the Red, White and Blue this weekend!  These were super easy to make and it took less than 5 minutes for each!   I recycled my toilet paper rolls and cut my paper to 5 X 4 1/4 glued the outside of the roll with the paper.  I cut strips of ribbon in red, white and bue and used double stick tape to adhere to the inside of the roll.  Lastly, I used my George and Basic Shapes cartridge from Cricut and cut a circle 3.5.  I cut the circle to the middle and glued into a shape of a cone, which is the top of the fire cracker.  I pierced a little hole at the top to thread the string!  I used my favorite glue Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive, I placed the glue on the rim, held the topper on top for a minute and presto magico all done!

  4. Your card is so cute and I LOVE the windsocks! They are so creative! We'll be making some of these for sure! Thanks for the details! We don't do anything over the 4th. My husband likes to show his appreciation to his employees by allowing them time off over the weekend, which means he works while they are away! It is ok because we do fun stuff all summer long!

  26. I love all of your projects that you make. What a great inspiration. Over the 4th of July what we loved doing as a family was go up to the 1,000 Islands. We go across the 1,000 Island Bridge and back...walk over it. We then spend the day out on my Dad's boat just enjoying the scenery we then come back for a special cookout over the fire pit then followed up by some s'mores over the fire pit...then after we go over to some friends where we get to watch the fireworks display from their boat ... what an experience this was the first time so glad we had it as a tradition for as long as we could. My Dad has since passed away. Will now be two years, but hubby, son and I now still do it but instead of going to my parents friends for the fireworks we watch them from camp. It's a great family time.
